Haleyville Police were called to a fight Saturday night at a residence in the 200-block of 12th St. in South Haleyville.

Police Chief Kyle Reogas said that officers arrived and observed an active altercation between two adult males. The officers separated those two and transported one to HPD. Officers interviewed several other individuals present. Reogas said, "The officers determined that the individual who had been transported appeared to be the aggressor." The investigation revealed that, prior to the two male subjects fighting, two females had been assaulted.

Daniel Harold Berry, 32, of Haleyville, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault under domestic violence and one count of resisting arrest. He was taken from HPD to Lakeland Community Hospital. Reogas said, "To the best of my knowledge, he was released (from the emergency room) after being treated for his injuries and placed in the county jail."

Two ambulances were summoned to the scene. The three victims remaining at the scene were treated but not transported.
