The Haleyville Fire Department was called to a fire in a Shady Brook apartment Wednesday at 5 p.m. Before the fireman arrived, a neighbor from upstairs, Cole Blair, went in and removed a smoking pan which had been left on the stove. There was no damage other than smoke in the apartment.
