Just before 6 a.m. Today, the driver of a box truck loaded with wine, headed to the Haleyville fell asleep and ran off the road hitting a culvert and coming to rest at the entrance to Rocky Ravine Park. The truck was had serious undercarriage damage but the driver had on a small cut on his arm. The driver stated he had been up with a baby most of the night, and with very little sleep had driven the two hours from Bessemer and almost made it to Walmart for his delivery. From the smell, apparently, some of the wine bottles were broken. The Haleyville Police and Fire Departments worked the scene until it was cleared in less than an hour by Lyle wrecker.
