The Haleyville City Council met Monday with Jonathan Bennett absent.

The low bid for playground equipment for the sports complex was approved in the amount of $126,000 from Great Southern Recreation. Approval was made for the repairs of a garbage truck for $10,000. the Council approved the substitution of Exhibit A in the Haleyville/Winston County Healthcare Authority documents. The purchase of an automatic cardiac defibrillator for $1624.00 for the safe room was approved.

Haleyville police officer Rodney Lewis was promoted to sergeant. The next scheduled Haleyville City Council meeting will be on Monday, February 19.
