The Haleyville Board of Education met Tuesday evening which was the first meeting for the newest board member, Donna Jones. The Board approved the February expenditures in the amount of $1,284,111.09. Also approved were amendments to the supplemental salary schedule, continued use of CenturyLink and AT&T phone services, an amendment to the FY 17 budget, amendments to the athletics supplement list, and a bid for a new school bus in the amount of $96,999.00.

The use of school facilities by four different organizations, six field trips, and ten fundraisers were also approved.

The Board accepted the resignation of Shelly Cooper as high school teacher and Kathy Elkins as a custodian at HHS. Ryan Brewer was hired as the ISS Facilitator for HHS.
