The first order of business at the HCS BOE meeting Tuesday was the election of Donna Jones as President and Chad Tidwell as Vice President of the Board. Both will assume their new positions at the next Board meeting in June. Shown above is the Superintendent of Education Dr. Holly Sutherland, Chad Tidwell, Donna Jones, and Barry Burleson, outgoing President.

The Board approved five general administration items including the board expenditures for April in the amount of $1,314,522.22. Two use of facilities, nine field trips, and three fundraisers were approved. There were 25 personnel changes made which included tenure for Suzanne Caldwell, Andrew Crisp, and Lauren Willis.

Mrs. Sandra Manasco was recognized by the Board for her years of dedicated service as a teacher and as a Board member. The Service With Pride Awards were presented in her honor.
