    Another short agenda and a short meeting. With all members present, after approving the minutes of the last Council meeting on 1/7/19, approval was made for the general operations bills and purchase orders for December 2018 in the amount of $447,183.12. Approval was made for the acceptance of the low bid for striping of the road recently paved at Boar Tush railroad crossing in the amount of $3,820.00 to WB Builders, LLC. The Council also approved a public hearing to be held for La Cazadores Mexican Restaurant concerning a tax abatement.

    The next scheduled meeting of the Haleyville City Council will be on Monday, February 4, 2019.

  • HHS Lions Sweeps Lamar County Bulldogs

    Tuesday, January 22 – The HHS Lady Lions defeated the Lamar County Lady Bulldogs 65-31 preceding the HHS Varsity Boys defeating Lamar 54-45. The next Haleyville High basketball game will be at home Tuesday night, January 29. This will be the last regular season home game, and it will be Senior night. The girls’ game should start around 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Paradise 92.7 with Craig Wakefield and David Albright.
