Noon, Monday, Sep 24 – An 18 wheeler had the misfortune of an axle fire which destroyed at least two tires on the left rear of the box trailer. A quick response and action by the Haleyville Fire Department saved the trailer from total loss. There were no injuries, just a temporary traffic diversion on Highway 13 in front of McDonald’s while the road was cleared.
