• Haleyville City Council

    The Haleyville City Council met Monday and approved the general operation bills and purchase orders for the month of August in the amount of $506,079.41.

    The council approved a resolution proclaiming the week of September 17 through 23 as Constitution Week which recognizes the 251st anniversary of the drafting of the U.S. Constitution.

    Approval was made for the purchase of Acer laptops and mobile printers for police cars in the amount of $12,060 from Jen-Eric Computers.

    Striping the ballparking lot and the North Industrial Park Entrance Road were also approved.

    Mayor Sunseri hired A.J. Brown as a part-time Class II dispatcher with a starting pay of $11.53 per hour.

    The next meeting of the Haleyville City Council will be on Monday, October 1.
