St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 5017 Hwy 79, Phil Campbell, AL 35581 will be having Vacation Bible School the week of June 5 through June 9, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
The Haleyville High golf team is currently in 3rd place behind UMS Wright and Oneonta following play in the state finals. The team shot 320 on Monday. Individual scores were Rob Richards, 76, Colton Russell 84, J.B. Miller 80, Reid Haughton 80 and Jack Lawson 112. Today is the second and final day of play in Auburn.
The Haleyville City Council met Monday with all members present and approved the April general operation bills for $439,089.10. The Council approved new radios and phones from the Northwest Alabama Gas District. The phone service is being changed from Southern Link to AT&T. There will be 32 new radios and 10 phones.
Mayor Sunseri announced the U.S. flag at city hall is flying at half mast to commemorate Fallen Officers week. Following the regular session, the Council interviewed one candidate for Fire Chief and held a work session. The next meeting of the Haleyville City Council will be on Monday, June 5.

The Haleyville Cardinal Youth Cheerleader and Football registration will be Saturday, May 20 from 10:00-12:00 in Goar’s parking lot. The Cheerleader registration fee is $25 plus uniform. The Football Registration is $50 for the first child and $25 for each additional child in the same family (everything furnished except cleats). Please bring the football players to registration to be fitted for equipment. Also bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and a recent picture to registration.
